Friends tell me I’m funny, with a good sense of humour. I do know I’m honest, considerate and reliable and expect the same of those close to me.
I like to be busy so I do a couple of art classes - drawing and painting are lifelong hobbies for me - and since retiring, I’ve been a member of my local U3A too, great choice of activities, days out and short holidays.
I try and keep reasonably fit with walks with friends, Pilates and visits to the gym.
I enjoy cooking, reading, pottering in the garden, family history, listening to music … I’m a keen Rock Choir member too, it’s a lot of fun.
Dislikes? I have to admit not being that interested in politics.

The last few years have taught me that life without a partner or companion can be pretty lonely, despite having family and good friends around.
I miss the simple things - being able to relax and chat about your day, laugh about what may have gone on, enjoy meals out, trips to the local theatre and cinema, days out, holding hands … all the things I once took for granted.
I do believe it takes time to get to know someone properly though, also that it’s fine to have some of your own interests and not necessarily share everything.
Deal breakers for me? Dishonesty and smoking.
